Luxora Kernel Technology
The sound engine behind Luxora Audio plugins. It carries the character of real devices into the digital domain through measurement and modeling.
We measure, analyze and model a device. The result is a character that changes with the level of your signal: the warmth of hardware, inside clean and fluid digital processing.
— Luxora AudioHow it works
Luxora Kernel uses two approaches, alone or combined, depending on the device.
Measurement
Where a real unit is available, calibrated test signals are sent through it and the output is recorded through high-grade converters at sample rates of 192 kHz and 384 kHz.
Circuit modeling
Where behavior is best captured from the circuit itself, we model the signal path directly: gain stages, transformers and tubes, and how they react as the level rises.
Verification
Models are compared against the reference using null tests and harmonic analysis, in addition to critical listening.
Clean processing
Non-linear processing creates harmonics that can fold back as aliasing. Oversampling and careful filtering keep those components out of the audible range.
